Ask Flat Rate Carpet Before You Book

The first questions here come from what this company publishes — and from what it does not.

1. Where is the plant, and how many days will my rug be there?Flat Rate Carpet washes rugs at a facility, so the rug leaves your home. Five to fourteen days door to door is normal in New York.
2. Is there a pickup minimum, and what does delivery cost below it?Pickup minimums of $150–$250 are common across the boroughs Flat Rate Carpet covers, and they catch small rugs.
3. How long will the rug take to dry, and what if it needs a plant wash?Flat Rate Carpet cleans in the home, which means drying in the home — 6–12 hours to the touch, up to 24 to dry thoroughly.
4. Will repairs be quoted separately, after inspection?Flat Rate Carpet lists rug repair. Reweaving, fringe and edge work are quoted on sight, so they should not be folded into a cleaning price.
5. Can you share recent references for a rug like mine?Only Google rates Flat Rate Carpet, so there is one source of evidence rather than several.
6. Is that a firm price from Flat Rate Carpet, or an estimate?A number that can move after collection is not a quote. Get the scope and the price in writing before the rug goes.
7. Can you issue a certificate of insurance for my building? Most New York buildings will not let a cleaner through the door without one, and arranging it late costs days.
