Get Your Cleaning Company in Front of New Yorkers

RugRate lists rug and carpet cleaning companies across the five boroughs. Being listed is free, and the companies that publish real prices are the ones customers contact.

Four Steps to a Listing That Works

None of these cost anything, and each one makes your listing easier to choose from.

  1. 1

    Add or claim your company

Tell us the business name, boroughs you cover and the services you offer. If we have already listed you, claim the page instead.

    List your company
  2. 2

    Get verified

We check that the business is real, reachable and operating where it says. No company is verified yet; the checks and what a verified listing will show are set out in full.

    How verification works
  3. 3

    Publish real prices

Listings that show how they price — per square foot, per room, minimums, pickup terms — score higher and get fewer wasted enquiries.

  4. 4

    Collect reviews

Invite customers to review a job they actually had. Reviews stay attached to your listing and cannot be bought or removed by payment.

Our side of the deal

What We Will Never Do

These rules are the reason customers trust the listings, which is what makes a listing worth having.

  • A free listing that stays free — being listed is never something you have to pay for
  • Paid placement is always labelled, and never changes a score, a rating or a ranking
  • Reviews cannot be bought, and cannot be deleted by paying us
  • You always get a right of reply before a complaint about you is published
  • No lead resale: an enquiry sent to you is not sold on to four competitors

Business FAQs

More in the business help section.

How much does a listing cost?

A basic listing is free. Paid options such as advertising are optional, and the details are published on the pricing page before anything is charged.

Can I pay to rank higher or improve my score?

No. Paid placement is labelled as advertising and sits outside the ranking. The transparency score is calculated from what you publish and how jobs go, and money does not move it.

Can I have a bad review removed?

Not by asking or paying. Reviews that break the guidelines — no real job behind them, abuse, or a competitor posting — are removed on those grounds, and you can reply publicly to any review.

When do listings open?

Companies are being added and verified borough by borough. Submitting your details now puts you in the queue for your borough rather than joining a waiting list that goes nowhere.

Do I have to publish my prices?

No, but it helps you. Customers comparing three companies tend to contact the ones whose pricing basis they can already see, and published pricing is the largest single part of the transparency score.
